Mom's beloved rhubarb is re-emerging nicely and settling into its new and improved (sunnier) spot in our garden 🌿😄 Rhubarb is really hardy and hard to kill.  This swiss chard survived the Canadian winter in our garden! 😮❄️🌿  Happy Earth Day 2021! 🌍🙂 “The Earth is a fine place and worth fighting for.” — Ernest Hemingway  Winter made a comeback today! ❄️😮Chives will do just fine, however, because they're cold hardy🌱  Mache 🥗 Also known as corn salad🙂 A winter green with nice nutty flavour, dark green colour, and soft texture. This was a little hard to germinate, however.  Detroit Dark Red beets microgreens💜😀🌿 We'll be starting some to grow to full-size this weekend  Our wintersown red Russian kale coming up nice and stocky 🌿😀  Tried to progagate this Thai basil from Vietnamese pho takeout🍜But lesson learned: don't try to propagate something that is about to go to seed 🌿Did get very pretty flowers, though 🌺  Potato salad for our mealworms 🐛 🥔🌿 Harvested ~6500 mewos this past week for @torontowildlifecentre 🙂We love the work they do for wildlife! 🦊🦆  |
