Planted sunflowers mid-July here in Southern Ontario for a fall crop for bees and other pollinators🌻🙂🐝

Cute little guy visiting our swiss chard 🐞Gathered up 84 lbs of zukes🥒winter squash 🍈eggplants🍆 kale🥦tomatoes🍅 & swiss chard 🌿for @ftndurham this past week 😀   New venture✨We've been getting into clover foraging and farming to help feed rabbits🐇and other patients at @torontowildlifecentre ☘️About 10 lbs collected so far 😎  Baby spaghetti squash🍈Winter squashes are coming in steadily 😀 Excited to contribute 51 lbs of zukes🥒beets🍒tomatoes🍅eggplants🍆 & winter squash🎾 @ftndurham this past week 🙂  Zinnias are late-season nectar source for many butterflies🌺 especially monarchs on their migration journey🦋Good ones to include in a fall garden🍂😀  Harvest tomatoes 🍅at the breaking stage, when just turning slightly pink. Tomatoes will keep ripening. Avoids risking fruit damage, increases plant yield, & helps prevents vine breakage 🌿🙂  Garlic dried for 2w is cured ready for storage📦 Happy to deliver 47 lbs of garlic🧄 zukes🥒beets🍒 kale🥦tomatoes🍅eggplants🍆Swiss chard 🥬carrots🥕spaghetti squash🎾 to @ftndurham this past week 🙂Please fight hunger in your community   Cantaloupe so far escaping powdery mildew and surviving the hot, humid weather🍈😋  Broccoli gone wrong🥦 Bolted in the heat🌞But the bees really love the flowers!🐝😀  Scarlet kale after the rain💜🥦Happy to bring 48 lbs worth of beets 🍒, zucchini 🥒, potatoes 🥔, tomatoes 🍅, and eggplant 🍆 from our garden for @ftndurham last week! 😀 Please fight hunger in your community.  |
