Potatoes have gone bad when they are shrivelled and wrinkled, but you can still plant them to get new potatoes! 🥔😀🍟 Very happy put together 82 lbs potatoes 🥔 zukes 🥒 & tomatoes 🍅 for Feed the Need in Durham @ftndurham last week! 😄

Did you know the eggplant is believed to have come from India, where it is considered to be the King of Vegetables? 👑🍆 We were excited to contribute 50 lbs eggplants 🍆, tomatoes 🍅, peppers 🌶️, and cukes 🥒 for Feed the Need in Durham @ftndurham the middle of this month! 😄  Big thanks to Whitby Public Library @whitbylibrary for their recent contribution of used pens and markers. Special thanks to Emily Smith, Teen Services Librarian, for her ongoing support! 🖍️😀🖊️ These writing instruments will go to Staples Canada @staplescanada for recycling at TerraCycle Canada @terracycleca 😄  Did you know squirrels love to eat kale, especially curly kale? 🥦🐿️ Harvested ~12 lbs of kale for the squirrels at @torontowildlifecentre this month 😀 We appreciate everything TWC does to save our wildlife!  While mammals are sensitive to chili pepper spice, birds are completely immune!🌶️🐦 In fact, they help spread peppers by eating them & excreting their seeds! 😀 We were thrilled to put together 46 lbs peppers 🌶️, cukes 🥒, tomatoes 🍅, potatoes 🥔, and beets ❤️ for Feed the Need in Durham @ftndurham early this month! 😄  Did you know biggest is not best when it comes to zucchini's? The most flavourful zukes are small- to medium in size 🥒👩🍳 Special thanks to Team Copeland for contributing awesome zucchinis!  Sweet beets are quite the treat for our mealworms! ❤️🐛 We were excited to support @torontowildlifecentre last month with ~13,000 mealworms 😀 They help so many wild animals! Please support wildlife rescue in your area 🐦🐺🦉  Many thanks to Women's College Hospital @wchospital for their recent contribution of used pens and markers.
