Too cute! ☺️Zach helped us harvest butternut squash for @ftndurham 👨🌾Please support FTND's action against hunger  We hope everyone will be safe this school year. 🏫🎓👨🎓We plan to take special precautions and still run our used writing instruments and crayons recycling program in Toronto and the Durham Region, Ontario 🖊️✍️🖍️Please email [email protected] for more information. 😀  A new veg for @ftndurham this past week: snap beans! 👍😀👍. ~16 lbs of fresh produce (0.5 lbs green onions, 5.5 lbs kale, 6 lbs tomatoes, 2 lbs green beans, and 2 lbs wax beans) went to FTND's Responding to Hunger Together campaign. 🍅🥦🥖Please consider contributing! #feedingdurham 🙂  Sifted out 20K juicy mealworms last week to support Toronto Wildlife Centre @torontowildlifecentre...and replenished our mealworm frass fertilizer supply for our victory garden in the process! 🐛💩 Please support TWC's wildlife protection efforts! 🐿️🦇🦆.  We were frustrated by the hot weather the couple of weeks before last, because the tomatoes were slow to ripen and pollination was generally poor. ☀️Then, Japanese beetles attacked our go-to crop, kale. Cobbled together 7 lbs black cherry tomatoes and 3.5 lbs beefsteak tomatoes to support @ftndurham and their Responding to Hunger Together campaign. 🍅🍅🍅Please consider contributing! #feedingdurham 😀  The second wave is here -- the second wave of vegetables, that is! 😁Fall is the new spring! 🍂Planted some fall crops last weekend. Heavy on the kale because it seems to grow well for us.🥦🥕🥒  Carrots were a little stumpy but really sweet and flavourful. 🥕We enjoyed giving 6 lbs of these to @FTNDurham along with 6 lbs tomatoes 🍅 and 12 lbs kale 🥦 this week.
