Thank you to Whitby Public Library for all the used writing instruments they collected! Will be taking these to Staples Canada for recycling through TerraCycle Canada  Thank you to St. Luke The Evangelist Catholic School for their initial contribution of used markers to Operation EcoPen!  The EcoSchools Youth Conference was an inspiring and educational environmental experience! So happy I could be part of it! Thank you Downsview Park for hosting it!  Big thank you to Maggy Bell for yet another contribution of used writing instruments for recycling!  A big thank you to the Oshawa Clinic, Taunton Health Centre, and Courtice Health Centre communities for their participation in our Kernels Extraordinary Popcorn sales this summer. Special thanks to Kristy Wrobel and Leanne Nguyen for all their support! We encourage others to support Feed the Need in Durham.  Another ~6500 of these cute little guys headed to Toronto Wildlife Centre. We love the work that they do saving wildlife.  Big thank you to Swiss Chalet for yet another contribution of crayons to The Crayon Initiative!  Many thanks to Milestones for their ongoing crayon contributions to The Crayon Initiative! instead of going to landfills, their used crayons will be melted down and transformed into new crayons for kids in hospitals.  Excited to be launching crayon recycling alongside writing instrument recycling in Durham District School Board schools! Used crayons will go to The Crayon Initiative and be turned into new crayons for kids in hospitals. Used pens, markers, and mechanical pencils will go to Staples Canada and be made into new products by TerraCycle Canada.
