Thank you to P.R.Y.D.E. for participating in Operation EcoPen and putting old pens, markers, and crayons to good use through TerraCycle Canada and The Crayon Initiative! Please ask if your local daycare/before & after school program/school would be interested in participating as well and email us at [email protected] for more info on how we can help.   With the summer heat, the mealworm farm matured really fast, so we had ~16,500 mealworms to donate to Toronto Wildlife Centre this week. Their conservation work is awesome.   Got ~288 lbs of crayons across the border to A.C. Moore. Thank you to everybody who contributed! A.C. Moore is donating $1 USD to The Crayon Initiative for every pound of crayons collected until July 27!
Thank you to Swiss Chalet for saving their used crayons for The Crayon Initiative!  Check out the HUGE amount of crayons collected by Ethan Sturm! And he has pre-sorted them! These will be going to The Crayon Initiative.  We are really excited Whitby Ribfest is on board with composting this year and we're having fun participating! Lots of people are having a great time here this weekend!   We meant to post this earlier...Many thanks to Applebee's Grill + Bar for their contribution of crayons to The Crayon Initiative!  |
